Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work across MpactNet. Because MpactNet is a platform that connects donors with independent nonprofit organizations, some decisions — particularly donation refunds — rest with the receiving nonprofit. Payments are processed through Stripe Connect.

2. Donations

Donations are made directly to the nonprofit organization the donor chooses, and are generally intended as final, charitable contributions. However:

3. Recurring donations

Recurring (sustaining) gifts continue on the schedule selected until cancelled. Donors can cancel a recurring gift at any time from the MpactNet app, or by contacting the nonprofit or MpactNet support. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund past charges, which are handled under Section 2.

4. Pledges

A pledge is a commitment to give a set total through a series of scheduled payments. Donors may pause or cancel remaining scheduled payments from the app or by contacting support. Payments already made are treated as donations under Section 2.

5. Memberships

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each membership term unless cancelled before the renewal date. To cancel, use the app or contact the nonprofit or MpactNet support. Unless required by law or stated otherwise by the nonprofit, membership fees are non-refundable once a term has begun, but cancelling stops future renewals.

6. MpactNet subscription fees (nonprofits)

Subscription fees paid by nonprofit organizations for the MpactNet CRM are billed in advance for the chosen billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. Except where required by law, subscription fees already paid are non-refundable. Per-transaction platform fees already incurred are non-refundable except as part of a donation refund as described in Section 2.

7. Disputed or unauthorized charges

If you see a charge you don't recognize, please contact us at support@mpactnet.com before disputing it with your bank, so we can help resolve it quickly. We work with nonprofits and Stripe to investigate and address unauthorized or fraudulent transactions.
